Conductor Charles Mackerras dies

Australian conductor known as an authority
on Czech music and Mozart dies in London, aged 84
Australian conductor Sir Charles Mackerras, who led the opening concert at the Sydney Opera Houseand is the first non-United Kingdom for leading the Last night of the prom, had died in London at the age of 84.

Sir Charles Mackerras has long passed away due to cancer caused by Sir Charles Mackerras conducted two concerts at the Albert Hall
as part of a BBC Prom in July 2010 yesterday.

In a long career, Sir Charles Mackerras has done some of the world's leading orchestras and is a former music director at the British National Opera. Sir Charles Mackerras was raised in Australia, but spent most of his life working in England after emigrating in 1947.
